This week in science we talked about the importance of water
and how everything living needs it. We also talked about how much water we can
use and what is available to us in the lesson called Earth Apple. In the lesson
we asked the kids to predict how much water we can use. Then, we cut an apple to
give them an idea of exactly how much water is available. The amount of usable
water was around 1/16 of the apple. We also did a lesson called Water Cycle in
a Bag to demonstrate how the stages of the water cycle look. The activity
consisted of placing water, soil, and leaves in SWAT Healthy Living Ambassadors
