Nutrition week 5
This week in our nutrition class we had the students
complete the milk challenge. The kids had opportunity to taste three different
types of milk that varied in fat content. We offered them 3 choices: skim, 2%,
and whole milk. After revealing the answers, most of the children preferred
choice A: skim milk. Other students
did not seem to find the difference in all three. With that said, we found that
the kids would not mind to drink skim milk instead of 2%, whole, or whichever
type their parents provide for them at home. In fact, a few were more than
happy to notify their parents about the healthier alternative -- skim milk.
